Trying a New Schedule

I’ve been toying with writing this post for about six weeks now. As many of you know, I homeschool our kids. Right now I’ve got an 11th, 8th, 4th, 2nd and Kindergartener that I’m schooling. My oldest in in college and the youngest is almost three.

Here’s my motivation for today’s post:

Since starting back to school I find it easy to write posts but difficult to get around to visit your blogs – which I love doing. So I’m going to try posting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for a few weeks. I think this will give me more time to check in on you and still teach the kids, cook for the family, exercise, run errands and do other things I need to get done.

A few months ago I wrote a post on balancing your life between family, work, blogging and social activities. I think it’s hard to balance everything perfectly – if not impossible.

I hope you will stick with me moving down to three days a week! I would also like to post a healthy recipe or cooking tip on the weekends, if you are interested in that type of post too.

How do you handle your blogging schedule and have you ever cut back or increased? What was the result?  Diane

I don’t know how you do all that you do as it is. I think its great that you are shifting things around, although I’ll miss your extra posts! I love the idea of the recipes, too. Hope this school year goes smoothly!

I’ve done 5 days a week and 1 day a week. Right now, I’m at about 2 days a week and barely hangin’ on. Life is crazy! I need to spend more time doing than blogging lately, and that’s ok with me.

In the last month my blog reading went to almost nil. I’ve recently figured out I need to get back to it as following people such as yourself helped put me in the right frame of mind for my weight loss journey. So I’m trying to get back in the habit but it’s hard as life gets in the way sometimes.

I’m only 2 months or so into the whole blogging game, and I feel like if I don’t post every 3 days or so, and promote each post until I’m blue in the face, I’ll quickly drop to 0 readers.

I don’t know how you folks who post 3+ times a week do it! You’ve quickly earned my respect.
