My book was years in the making.
When I first lost my weight, a trusted friend and pastor said to me, “You know, if you wrote all that down and invited people to come hear your story, you would have a room full of people.” His comment was the catalyst for my weight loss class, Fit to the Finish, and eventually for my book, 150 Pounds Gone Forever.
The book is broken up into several sections, with the first section detailing my story into and out of obesity, the second section introducing the weight loss plan, and the remaining sections dealing with issues like emotional eating, restaurant meals, planning, friendships, exercise, and more. There are 50 recipes in the book that have been tested by my family and friends. Preview the table of contents or read part of a chapter with these links.
Any author will tell you that writing a book is a true labor of love. The hours of writing give way to days and months of editing. The final product is one I will be proud of for years to come.
