Although it is summer, we have been very busy.
Our second oldest child graduated from high school. Even though we homeschool, the local homeschool association has a graduation ceremony for the graduates complete with caps and gowns. It made it extra special that some of the grandparents got to come visit.
After graduation we headed to a weeks vacation in Gulf Shores, Alabama. It was a lovely time and made me miss living in Florida. Here is a picture of the older four boys and John heading out to try their hand at fishing. Sadly they did not catch anything but they had fun!
Here’s the kinda fail one.
And finally, because I’ve been doing a series of speaking engagements at the local university, the LifeWay bookstore here agreed to stock my book, 150 Pounds Gone Forever. Yay! I will have a small (very small) book signing next week.
Today I’m on the set of the 700 Club doing their live television show. I will also be doing a shorter interview for their nighttime television program. If you missed it today I’ll put the link up later this week. Wish me luck!
I hope that your summer is going well. We are still working on our garden, trying to keep on top of the yard, and the younger kids are already dreading the starting of school even though it is several months away!
Is your summer busy or relaxed? Diane
